Jerry Jones v. ABC Bank (2011)

Plaintiff-client injured his fingers when he attempted to remove hundreds of dollars of “stuck” bills from the ATM machine of his bank. The bills he sought to remove were his own. While removing the “stuck” bills, Plaintiff was injured when the machine’s window snapped down on his fingers, injuring the nerves to one of his fingers. After lengthy negotiations, introduction of an expert mechanical engineer on Plaintiff’s behalf, and the active involvement of a federal magistrate, Plaintiff settled his case amicably for an undisclosed sum.
