John Jones v. Congoleum Corporation (2009)

The law firm represented a union member who had been the victim of significant workplace bullying for two years. When Mr. Jones stood up to the bullying employee, the bully sought to intimidate our client by moving his truck next to our client’s car — signaling intent to have a physical confrontation. The Company, hearing this information, terminated both employees, alleging violation of workplace rules against fighting. Mr. Jones grieved. The Labor Arbitrator overruled management and declared the employee eligible for immediate job reinstatement.
