Fall brings sweater weather, spectacular displays of foliage, and harvest celebrations. For many, the equinox marks the start of a glorious season, filled with apple picking and pumpkin carving. First – The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforces laws prohibiting consumer fraud and deception. The Agency recently forced Amazon to pay $61.7 million worth of tips given by customers intended for drivers who worked as independent contractors. Click here.
Second – The Family Court will consider a parent’s misconduct, including his or her incarceration — for what reason and for how long – if the other parent or the State seeks to end the jailed or imprisoned parent’s parental rights. Click here

Belated Happy New Year! We are in the final throes of Winter 2021. This year, we received a lot more snow compared to previous years. However, the snow is clearing up and the sun is shining down upon us.
First – Older and unemployed Americans often retire early because they’re facing a harsh reality: they’ve lost jobs and can’t find employers willing to hire applicants in their 50’s and 60’s. If you’re in that age range and unemployed, there is a low chance that you’ll find a new job that pays as well, or better, than the one you left. Click here.
